weave: a group practice
tessakin
most relationship practices are designed for two people. weave is designed for what actually happens in polyamory: constellations of three, four, five. triads, quads, chosen families, kitchen-table polycules where everyone matters and everyone is building something together.
the mechanic is simple. one question per week. everyone in the group answers privately. nothing reveals until everyone has answered. then it opens, together.
the questions are designed for groups: how care travels across more than one connection, what loyalty means when it's distributed, what it's like to be held by more than one person at once. twenty questions total, across three possible configurations depending on where your constellation is right now.
weave is not about resolving anything or making decisions. it's about getting to know each other, not in the way you already know each other, but in the way that only happens when you answer the same question at the same time, without knowing what the others said.
the reveal is the thing. reading what the other people in your group wrote, about the same question, in the same week. that's weave.
